Our apprenticeship programme is tailored to develop outstanding manufacturing and engineering apprentices that from day one will work on state-of-the-art technology to deliver high value manufacturing expertise to our global customers, including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin.

What is the Apprenticeship Scheme?

After completing a robust recruitment process our apprentices will be supported to embark on their career journey, throughout which they will receive a highly competitive remuneration and flexible benefits package.

Apprentices will spend time training whilst undertaking invaluable work experience, where you will learn the basic principles and under pinning knowledge needed for your career.

There are two core pathways within our apprentice programme covering various roles across the site:

  • Machinist (Aftermarket)

  • Fitter / Tester

  • Chemical Process Engineer

Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship

  • Opportunity for further education including a HNC and beyond

Technical

  • Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship

  • Integral to this pathway is the completion of further education -- i.e. HNC and/or Degree

The specific pathway that you will be recruited for will be determined during the recruitment process; we will balance your skills and preferences with the specific needs of the business. We are unable to guarantee that you will be offered a place on your preferred pathway.

Basic Qualifications

Practical

  • GCSE grade 5 or above in English plus 4 other subjects

  • GCSE grade 6 or above in Mathematics or Physics or Engineering subject

  • A Levels / BTEC Level 2 or above in Maths, Physics, Engineering are desirable but not required

  • Other relevant equivalent Engineering qualifications

Technical

  • GCSE grade 5 or above in English plus 4 other subjects

  • GCSE grade 7 in Mathematics or Physics or an Engineering subject

  • A Levels / BTEC Level 3 in Maths, Physics, Engineering are desirable but not required

  • Other relevant equivalent Engineering qualifications
