As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator (7554)in our Seating Operations - Fairchild business located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.


Reporting to the Business Unit Manager the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will perform administrative and manual duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.


  • Oversee the receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts and visual quality, complete transactions to ship & receive product and process paperwork according to established procedures.

  • Inspect freight upon arrival, documenting any signs of damage. Check incoming goods against bills of lading, packaging slips, etc.

  • May receive and unpack goods and/or reject damaged, excess or misdirected goods.

  • Report shipping &/or receiving discrepancies to the appropriate department and monitor for resolution.

  • Work with applicable departments to resolve issues relating to the processing of incoming receipts.

  • Track and report on critical incoming or outgoing shipments.

  • Provide general information to personnel regarding company procedures.

  • May operate lift trucks, pallet jacks and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations.

  • Assist with the development, revision and enforcement of procedures and work instructions.

  • May assist with the internal expediting of critical shortages.

  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other employees.

  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature, where considerable judgment and initiative is required.

  • May provide training and direction to other associates in the department.

  • May provide daily work assignments to staff and coordinate personnel and resources as necessary to complete all work scheduled for department.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • High School Diploma or GED and four years of experience in warehouse/inventory. Ability to perform unit of measure conversions.

  • Ability to communicate with carriers.

  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems.

  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure.

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
