As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Market Analyst in our Interior Systems business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Market Analyst will assist in the coordination of all monthly, quarterly and annual business plans for the corporation. The individual is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide market demand forecasts, bookings, and backlog and revenue reports. This individual is accountable for assisting in the compilation of marketing inputs to the corporation’s SEC submissions. Additionally, he/she executes on demand requests from various business partners, ensuring that critical requests are processed timely and accurately.

The Market Analyst reports to the Manager, Business Planning and Market Insights.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aggregates quantitative and qualitative market and competitive analytics used by senior executives for internal business planning

  • Compiles monthly and quarterly business reviews and supports the enterprise wide market view for these reviews

  • Provides analytical support of new business development, customer interface and investor relations initiatives

Business Plan Management:

  • Employs strong analytical and research skills to support Key Account, Finance, and planning executives

  • Captures and disseminates competitive analysis and relevant market intelligence

  • Supports the compilation of the strategic plan for Rockwell Collins Interior Systems

  • Supports analysis of potential M&A opportunities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Liaises with key business leaders and compiles data for the Interior Systems’ portion of financial reporting, SEC filings and annual reports

  • Leads the preparation the quarterly Bookings, Billings, and Revenue report

  • Manages the compilation of multi-site performance data and third-party forecasting

  • Provides analytical support for the reporting of the installed base of products for Interior Systems

  • Assists with the development and forecasting of total and served markets

Market Analysis:

  • Provides essential and timely information on industry trends and competitor activity

  • Aids in the creation and maintenance of a multi-year market demand forecast by business unit

  • Dissects and reports data from industry sources including: aviation forecasting firms, equity analyst research, and OEM market outlooks

Customer Analysis:

  • Analyzes Interior Systems key financial metrics by customer and across customer segments

  • Analyzes customer profitability, traffic trends, Passenger Revenue per Average Seat Mile (PRASM)/Cost per Average Seat Mile(CASM) metrics and balance sheet health by major airlines/airline business models

Customer Reporting:

  • Maintains the business unit’s database on backlog, bookings, and revenue by business unit and customer

  • Provides customer reports to Key Account Executives on demand

Outside of the items listed here a significant component of this role will be the ability to manage prescribed tasks and those that are identified on an ad-hoc basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Quantitative Bachelor’s degree (Marketing/Finance/related)

  • One (1) year of related experience

  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ Years of experience

  • Strong business reporting and analytical skills

  • Airline/aerospace subject matter expertise

  • Multi lingual with fluency in written and spoken English
