The UTAS PurePower 30K Program Management team is looking for an Industrial Manager to lead our hardware delivery effort in support of Pratt & Whitney’s new PurePower 30K Performance Improvement Program (PIP). This is an exciting evolution of the 30K product family to further improve the fuel efficiency, performance, and life of the product. This is a significant multiple engine development program targeting production EIS in 2022. The UTAS PurePower Program Industrial organization has an opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong technical and operations background to support the UTAS PurePower Program Industrial Associate Director and represent UTAS operations and supply chain industrial areas to the UTAS 30K Program Office. The UTAS PurePower 30K PIP Program Industrial Manager role will interface with the Program Office, Chief Engineer, CIPT’s, and all supporting functional organizations. This role will manage all incorporation plans supporting the transition from the current 30K product configuration to the new PIP configuration for both NEO and Irkut platforms. They will define, communicate, refine, and ultimately drive these incorporation plans through the operations and supply chain organizations as well as interacting with our Pratt & Whitney engine customer on a regular basis to ensure cross company awareness and alignment. The performance of the individual in this role and their ability to define achievable production incorporation plans, identify and mitigate risks, and ultimately drive successful execution will directly impact the future of the 30K program both for UTAS and also for our customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates development hardware delivery to support program engine development plan (EDP)

  • Communicates EDP risk to program and operations leadership and drives improvements from CIPTs

  • Provides direction and coordinates production cutover planning Creates and monitors system-level cutover plan

  • Provides direction to operations and supply chain relative to program requests Communicates system-level industrial issues to program

  • Coordinates engineering change cut in planning between IPTs and PWEH In addition to supporting PIP, this role will also encompass critical customer industrial coordination activity on the baseline PW1100G-JM and PW1400G-JM production programs such as engineering change cut in planning

  • Superior written and oral communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills required

  • A successful candidate will be detail and results oriented with good problem solving skills, able to meet commitments, and balance to resolve conflicting priorities

  • Understanding strategic and business implications and working to provide solutions will be critical.

  • Must have demonstrated experience working with executive level management and be a high energy - dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement.

  • Final job grade will be determined based on the experience and qualifications of the candidate selected.
