Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deploy materials management strategy aligning with UTAS Materials & SIOP Strategy

  • Development and communication of clear objectives to monitor departmental performance

  • Responsible for inventory control ensuring stock levels are maintained at an appropriate level and meet site NITO targets

  • Controlling inventory volume and value to agreed targets

  • Lead the Site/ Cell SIOP process and monitor demand forecast accuracy and stability by OE and Aftermarket.

  • Drive improvements in supplier performance and support VMI implementation

  • Delivering a high level of OTIF (on time in full) product availability

  • Overseeing ITC Import/Export requirements for the site

  • Deploy Effective Materials Planning strategy and planning policy deployment in SAP

  • Lead in the establishment of plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required.

  • Spearhead the development of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.

  • Lead in the establishment of continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.

  • Oversee tracking of inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.

  • Monitor tracking and shipping process.

  • Lead in the development of plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensures successful customer delivery.

  • Ensure execution and compliance to all identified strategic objectives and share best practice across the Business Unit

  • Develop functional skills for Materials and SIOP team in alignment with BU skills and certification requirements SIOP:

  • Ownership of the development and implementation of the business’ SIOP strategy and Maturity Models

  • Development of functional processes, work instructions, procedures and standards

  • Leading multi-level SIOP reviews, including at the senior leadership level

  • Collaborating with Finance, Contracts/Programs, Materials Management, Supply Chain and Operations to validate demand and ensure alignment with supply chain delivery across ES sites

  • Assessing impact on Sales, EBIT, Inventory & Cash associated with SIOP strategy

  • Developing decision focused executive level reports and reviews

  • Integration of SIOP with Materials and Lean including engagement in value stream mapping events across the business unit

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility in the disciplines of supply chain, operations and materials planning

  • 5 years leading SIOP implementation, Demand planning, Supply planning and driving business results and improvements in OTD, inventory, past due, and lead time reductions.

  • Experience leading a SIOP, Demand and Forecasting process using demand analytics and deploying across a business.

  • Experience in a lean manufacturing operations environment

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including cross-discipline collaboration

  • Experience presenting to senior level executives

  • Solid work ethic with a focus on collaboration to drive business results

  • Implementation of Lean principles, tools and processes

  • Demonstrated experience in change leadership and change management

  • Business analytics experience with demonstrated analytical skills specifically in demand forecasting utilizing MAPE, Bias and Forecast Error

  • Drive demand leading indicators of forecast accuracy and bias to yield improved On Time Delivery and Inventory.

  • Maintain a 36 month demand profile identifying gaps to the financial plan.

  • Experience with SAP and APO

  • Manage monthly SIOP process, action plans, issue resolution, and escalations.

  • Drive SIOP maturity and continuous improvement by utilizing ACE tools and methodologies.

  • Lead SIOP and Business Intelligence process maturity efforts.

  • Highly skilled in utilizing data based problem solving methodologies to identify root cause and define solutions.

  • Knowledge of ACE and Lean principles, tools and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certification

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification and demonstrated experience driving results

  • PMP certification

  • Background with Oracle or SAP (APO) to include implementations Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems, SAP and SAP IBP

Education:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain Management discipline preferred) with 10+ years of experience required.

  • MBA or will have MBA completed by Dec 2019

  • Change Leadership certification, training and experience required.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Certification.
