Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow DO-254 Level A program planning documentation, and ensure CPLD/FPGA design adheres to the plans

  • Capture and document the customer flowed down functional requirements, and develop and document the derived requirements for FPGAs

  • Design FPGA architectural diagrams, develop VHDL to implement the design critical functionality

  • Develop sub-functions and test benches • Perform engineering timing simulations and functional analysis

  • Interface with the V&V team and Quality Engineers to support the creation of the DO-254

  • Support project planning efforts and ensure execution to schedule and budget

  • Creation and review of engineering documentation • Other tasks as assigned

Education

  • Pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering

  • Must be currently enrolled in coursework

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Completion of at least 30 credit hours, 90 credit hours completed is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to design test benches

  • Experience with Mentor HDL Designer, Synopsys Synplify, Microsemi Libero SOC Designer, and Aldec CTS

  • Knowledge of DO-254 Certification Process helpful but not required.

  • Ability to work both independently or on a team as required Special Notes
