The Finance Manager, Product Cost Development, a newly created position, is for a business intelligence professional on a newly formed finance and business intelligence team in the development and institution of program finance reporting and analysis for product costing. In this role, you will be a key player in establishing the support provided by Power & Controls Finance under the new Collins Management System (CMS) through:
Work cooperatively with DT and the ES SAP Support Team to assess data readiness and propose solution designs and architecture required. Solution designs should emphasize/enable self-service access to reporting and analysis for product cost reporting system.
Translate requirements into effective and impactful dashboards and reports that enable information sharing, ensuring the efficient management and operation of production tools and platforms.
Advises senior management on part cost management matters and on the potential impact on the operations of the organization.
Evaluates and recommends strategies for business intelligence activities related to actual part cost to increase efficiencies.
May also include development of professional employees required to perform activities across several disciplines at smaller sites
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience
Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience
High School Diploma or equivalent and 11 years of relevant experience is required
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or IT
3+ years in a finance role preferably in a manufacturing environment
MS Excel, Analytics for Excel and MS Office
8+ years with reporting tools such as SAP, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, QlikSense, Microsoft Power BI and other BI tools
Experience with SAP, Tableau, SQL, Teradata, Hana and Business Warehouse
Solid understanding of elements of part cost
Comfortable challenging assumptions and ability to evaluate and propose alternative solutions
Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership
