Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering group seeks your dedication and experience as a detail-focused project engineer to work in the Operational Military Engines Fan/HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Project Engineer. You will support the IPT Leader that's responsible for task execution. This position requires strong leadership, a compassionate listener and persuasive speaker as well as well-rounded general project engineering skills.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and leading IPT / supplier activities to meet technical breakthroughs and hardware delivery requirements

  • Planning & leading task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables

  • Preparing and presenting task status and technical content to the IPT Lead, CIPT and Cold Section Engineering management

  • Preparing monthly Earned Value (EV) status of all tasks that require EVMS

  • Performing risk assessments and developing / leading risk mitigation plans

  • Leading and executing Fleet Sustainment initiatives

  • Supporting the F119 Production restart activities

  • Reviewing and processing Class 1 & 2 engineering changes

  • Supporting field investigation teams to resolve root cause and corrective action for any field incidents reported by the USAF customer

  • Lead evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and supplier requests for information (SRI’s).

  • Your travel expectation is 20%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

  • 5 years' work experience in engineering

  • 2 or more years' project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Engineering or MBA

  • A validated team leader

  • Strength in conveying information to people clearly and simply

  • Ability to handle several components of complex tasks

  • Proficiency with Teamcenter

  • Experience with SAP

Education: BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
