The NSAA Application Development and Support team has a great opportunity to work as our team as our IT Release Manager. The candidate will be responsible for creating and operating a best practice release management process to support our multiple development teams in different platforms, from mainframe to a full Microsoft stack including mobile.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create a process to manage software and environment changes for applications in the OTIS Americas portfolio

  • Operate the day to day operations of changes into the multiple environments

  • Serve as an escalation points for emergency change requests

  • Coordinate environment changes during off-business hours when planned or during an emergency

  • Work with suppliers to ensure SLA performance

  • Accountable for all changes in all environments

  • Manage daily change calls, service requests

  • Helps create and provide operations and project reports to management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Able to delegate work, mentor other team members, work with offshore teams, and work independently

  • Work with multiple project teams to plan project releases and maintain a common calendar of all changes in the application portfolio

  • Main point of contact for managing all changes in all environments

  • Provides process and standards to manage changes

  • Coordinate weekly/monthly/yearly patches to server farms

  • Some travel required

Qualification:

  • 5+ years’ experience with server or related system administration

  • 3+ experience in vendor management, RFP’s, SLA management a plus

  • 3+ years’ experience managing people

  • 3+ years’ supporting software application deployments in a large US wide operations

  • 3+ years managing SharePoint, server farms

  • 3+ years’ managing mobile applications, iPhone/Android (PDA a plus)

  • Very good understanding of process management

  • Agile/Lean practices required

  • Process oriented, high business

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science required

  • Master's degree preferred

  • ITIL certification: ITIL Foundations 2 or better (practitioner preferred)
