Description:

This internship position will be in the Engine Dynamics & Loads organization. Typical intern assignments in this group may include experience with tasks such as: o Perform engine rotor dynamics, vibration, and structural loads analysis in support of engine programs o Monitor loads and vibration during engine testing, assess/communicate results, and participate on teams troubleshooting engine issues during test and in the field o Work directly with design integration, engine program, hardware owners, and engine test to assure rotor dynamics and engine loads requirements are understood and implemented o Define instrumentation requirements to measure engine loads and vibration parameters

Qualification: The applicant should have some exposure to, or experience in structural finite element modeling and analysis, strong communication skills, and an ability to work with multiple dynamic teams.

Education:

o Working towards BS. or above in mechanical or aerospace engineering o Minimum completion of sophomore year prior to assignment, completion of junior year preferred o Prefer gpa above 3.3 o Some experience with finite element modeling a plus
