Primary Responsibilities:

  • In this role you will: Perform or provide training for product inspection and approval of supplied product

  • Issuing and approving corrective actions to suppliers using LS business tools

  • Review and approval of compliance documentation including AS9102 First Article Reports and UTAS/LS required inspection documents

  • Conduct investigations at suppliers to develop root cause and corrective action involving escapes to a LS site or customer

  • Perform scheduled and qualified audits to industry (AS9100) and/or UTAS/LS quality system requirements

  • Support the execution of zero defect plans, work transfer, UPPAP, and QN reduction initiatives at the suppliers

  • Supports Supplier Oversight on East Coast but fill in for others across North America and elsewhere. Needs to be able to travel, have a passport, and can travel internationally.

  • Incumbent can be based anywhere in the NE or Eastern Seaboard of the United States as position will entail extensive travel; up to 60%.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • Qualified Auditor certified to ASQ and or AS9100 internal or lead auditor

  • Highly skilled with advanced experienced in Quality Sciences

  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/quality environment.

  • Fully competent in Blue Print, 3D Model and GD&T knowledge

  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodology

  • Competence in review and approval of First Article Reports from suppliers perAS9102 (current rev.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ CQE preferred.

  • Experience in an Aerospace Quality environment a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Process Flow Diagramming, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans per SAE J J1739 for Advanced Product Quality Planning an asset.

  • Competent in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R) and SPC desired.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a STEM discipline.
