The Fire Protection Systems group within the Global Fire Products group is focused on Kidde residential and commercial fire detection, alarm and portable suppression as well as the Edwards Systems business worldwide.

DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the distribution channel and sales within the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve sales quota for assigned territory on quarterly basis.

  • Develop and manage “pipeline” to maximize revenue and profits.

  • Work with each distributor in the development, commitment and execution of product specific sales goals, annually.

  • Develop and train distribution on all products in order to gain acceptance and market share.

  • Identify target markets and develop additional distribution to ensure complete coverage within region

  • Plan and organize sales visits and provide regular reports, market information, competitor information and customer feedback to the Company. This includes information to enhance product development.

  • Collaborate with Vertical Market Managers to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.

  • Accurate and timely forecasting of sales opportunities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent. MBA a plus.

Qualification:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years’ experience in technical product sales in the Fire Protection Industry

  • Distribution/channel territory development experience required

  • Experience in preparing and presenting technical and sales presentations to distribution, end users, the A&E community, and other influencers

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral

  • Ability to set priorities, multitask and follow through on an assignment without redirection

  • Proven initiative, enthusiasm, organization and creativity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 60%
