Description:

This is a Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City (OKC)-based position that will deliver Fleet Logistics Specialist (FLS) support services to the F-35's (Joint Strike Fighter) F135 Propulsion System Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and Flight Test programs. The F135 Global LogisticsSpecialist (GLS) will be a key player on a growing team that continuously refines and delivers improved material management and logistics support capabilities through the practical application of the ACE operating system fundamentals. The GLS will coordinate with F135 Global Spares Pool (GSP) Central Warehouse for rapid pick/pack/ship of F135 spares, including building and managing Deployment Spares packages and Afloat Spares Packages, for unit level peace time and contingency support operations, and first tailored spares kit builds to support Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) compression planning for depot level maintenance. The GIS will support F135 Inventory Manager in laying out the first and follow-on OCONUS GSPs to support Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade (MRO&U) locations. The GLS will also coordinate extension of CONUS GSP support for expansion of spares delivery services to the JSF international participants. Additionally the GLS will support the F135 Logistics Program Management (LPM) supply chain team in three critical areas: depot level spare materials support for F135 Heavy Maintenance Center operations; global inventory warehousing and distribution services for the F-35 unit level operating locations; and logistics planning and execution tied to the maturation of the F135 repair cycle process. The FLS will engage in relentless root cause analysis and corrective actions to address spare material shortages tied to depot level maintenance activities; assist in planning for the expansion of warehousing and distribution services for the JSF US services and partner nation fleets; and coordinate with multiple PW and organic business units in the execution of a full rate F135 component repair capability. The FLS will be involved in all aspects of operational supply chain support, from Non-Serviceable Asset Management and the export of spare materials to partner nation air forces, to spare material scrap, material demil, and property accounting. Qualification: REQUIRED:

4+ years of experience in an operational supply chain and/or logistics management capacity.

PREFERRED:

In-depth knowledge of PW/UTC internal supply policies, practices, and standard work preferred, as is proficiency in the complete range of SAP spares-related transactions. Familiarity with engine Bills of Material, spares configuration management databases, and spares provisioning tables preferred. Good analytical skills: individual must be able to organize, logically analyze and present spares information that may be pulled in from several info systems. Knowledge of current Department of Defense engine material and logistics support concepts preferred. Knowledge of international shipping/export compliance is desired. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate work experience that details examples of self-starting ability, initiative, and capacity to drive complex issues to closure.
