This position is located at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL

Engine Technician supporting the Pratt & Whitney F119 engine program.

Typical Duties. Investigate problems and make repairs or modifications as necessary to engines, modules, and components per applicable directives. Perform a variety of related duties in support of engine programs. Refer difficulties to lead or supervisor. Perform routine maintenance of support equipment. Ability to interpret technical documentation for advanced propulsion systems.

Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individuals' skills. Handle process related waste in accordance with approved documented work instructions

Qualification:

  • Jet engine maintenance experience required (1 year minimum).

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity common software packages.

  • Strong communication skills. Be self-motivated and a self- starter.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required.

  • Good interpersonal and teaming skills.

  • Must be detail oriented. Accuracy in work performed is a must.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required.

  • Must have a secret clearance, or the ability to acquire one within one year and maintain.

  • Must be able to obtain all required access and maintain.

Note: this is a 2nd shift job, but must be able to work any shift based on business needs.

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Airframe and Powerplant License a plus.
