As a DDC Technician you will be involved in the following:

  • Use trends, feedback from facilities personnel, and data from the advanced metering system to ensure the facility automation at each site assigned are operating as expected. In addition to being well versed in control theory; the candidate will need high level of customer service skills and be suited to diffuse situations should they arise.

  • Work with the customer to facilitate training for the personnel.

  • Provide analysis of the various data streams on a regular basis for each site and identify potential areas where the efficiency of the system can be optimized; the candidate will then work with the NORESCO team as well as the facility to determine the best course of action for implementing the required changes.

Qualification:

The following background is preferred for this position:

  • Proficient in at least three (3) of the following system manufacturers would be required as well as the ability to learn the other systems:

  • Niagara AX

  • Niagara N4

  • JCI

  • ALC

  • Siemens

  • Schneider

  • Proficient in interpreting Controls Sequences into controller logic and reverse engineering the controller logic to derive the sequence.

  • Ability to use information from the controls system and facilities to diagnose potential mechanical or controls related issues.

  • Proficient in at least three (3) of the following system manufacturers would be required as well as the ability to learn

  • Ability to utilize a multi-meter to diagnose controls circuitry

  • Vd-&-4-20 mA

  • Customer service and/or technical support experience is a plus

  • A valid DL must be held and maintained in order for the candidate to perform duties.

  • Must have the ability to pass stringent background checks in order to be allowed to gain access to customer’s network where necessary.

Education: Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.
