Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS), a business unit of UTC Aerospace Systems is seeking a Production Control Associate to join our team. The highly motivated individual will plan and monitor material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations and work with planning team to establish, coordinate, and maintain an accurate Weekly Product Schedule for operations production lines. The primary focus of this position will be to Analyze, plan, and manage production control activities to improve runtime and Monitor the execution of job orders and adjust production schedule for timely delivery plan. Plan and monitor material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate production control problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions

  • Must be able to work with internal delivery assurance personnel to assure that purchased parts arrive in a timely manner to meet production rates.

  • Lead in coordinating activities of others throughout the plant to help alleviate shortages and to meet schedule requirements.

  • Communicate jobs requiring quick turnaround to production areas and work with the production area leads to facilitate accurate/timely processing.

  • Coordinate research and resolve issues, questions, or problems that arise to include part shortages, part discrepancies, and Bill of Materials (BOM) errors.

  • Review all work orders, checking for accuracy and completeness.

  • Process and distribute work orders to appropriate areas.

  • Investigate production control problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions

  • Prepare and adjust schedules in response to production issues.

  • Build recovery plans and schedules as necessary to recover from adverse trends.

  • Provide status at program meetings (weekly, daily or as needed to meet commitments)

  • Must be comfortable accepting ownership of processes and communicating priorities to manufacturing team, while satisfying the needs and concerns of the stakeholders

  • Compliance to budget and schedule are an essential part of this position.

  • Lead the team

  • Assist in leading group process improvements using our UTC continuous improvement system (ACE), including the continued development of standard work for program management group processes.

  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans, must comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrate leadership skills Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to compose correspondence.

  • Ability to work in a highly structured environment, with frequent customer interactions.

  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities

  • Knowledge of production, inventory, supply chain, and planning concepts.

  • Knowledge of SAP or MRP-driven systems.

  • Self-directed with attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities while prioritizing issues towards a singular goal.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office computer skills. (Excel)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
