Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules, assesses changes and improves processes as necessary. Responsible for coordination and execution of scheduling activities for specific assigned parts using ERP systems and other MS Office software. Tracks status of material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed. Manages OTR metric and Tracks sales commits throughout the month. Prepares reports on works in progress and acts as a focal point and monitors assigned areas to ensure material delivery dates meet production needs. Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and other groups. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Reviews and maintains master production schedule (MPS). Analyzes data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels, and reduce total costs in order to support lean manufacturing activities.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications

  • Purchasing and/or materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and primary responsibilities.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software/programs as opportunities or Department needs arise.

Preferred Qualification

Experience with SAP or MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

BS or BA with emphasis on materials/supply chain management

Needs to be able to multitask
