We are seeking a highly motivated student in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering for a 2018 summer internship opportunity at the Vergennes, VT UTC Aerospace Systems facility within the Guidance, Navigation, Control, and Actuation Systems production team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create manufacturing work instructions for electro-mechanical hardware

  • Design and document fixtures within pro engineer to support product build

  • Utilize UTC Aerospace Operational Excellence (ACE) processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operation processes

  • Complete work as directed to transition key missile actuator programs to production rates

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution

  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Must have completed at least 30 hours of college coursework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Critical/strategic thinking ability

  • Innovative

  • Ability to work independently

  • Results-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop a strategy

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Ability to make sound ethical decisions that drive results

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
