As part of the Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) team, you'll help develop the next generation of more intelligent, more integrated and more reliable solutions that enhance aircraft safety and performance in the most rigorous flight conditions. Our customers include original equipment manufacturers that build aircraft and helicopters, engine manufacturers, and airlines, as well as defense agencies and contractors. Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly.

  • Perform inspection and maintain qualified operator program (QOP) certifications.

  • Perform rework.

  • Perform unique assembly processes.

  • Accurately read blueprints.

  • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools.

  • Demonstrate proper use of electrical measuring devices.

  • Demonstrate proper use of mechanical measuring devices.

  • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.

  • Take ownership of accuracy of processes.

  • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team.

  • Build parts that meet drawing specifications.

  • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).

  • Work successfully in a team environment.

  • Handle multiple tasks.

  • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.

  • Comply with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts (ACE).

  • Understand end use of manufactured product.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet deadlines and quality requirements.

Special Projects:

  • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.

  • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.

  • Achieve special process certification where applicable.

  • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem solving.

  • Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).

Communication:

  • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge or resolve problems related to business issues.

  • Effectively interact with others.

  • Participation

  • Participate in cost reduction plans.

  • Participate in waste minimization efforts.

  • Participate in audits.

Qualification: This position falls under the FAA Drug and Alcohol Program. FAA regulations require that the candidate identified for this position will be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing while in this role.

Education: Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • At least 1 year of experience working with computer

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.

  • Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in production

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Position is NOT for ITAR hardware

  • Proficient with mechanical skills and soldering

  • Ability to focus on safety and quality is extremely important.

  • Highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Willing to work overtime when needed
