This position will oversee and direct the Landing Systems warranty administration area to ensure the best experience for the customer that is submitting a warranty claim but also process that claim accurately, professionally and on a timely basis in accordance with all corporate and contractual guidelines. This position will establish the policies, procedures and standard work, in accordance with company guidelines and contractual requirements for the processing of all warranty claims. The position will monitor warranty claim activity developing monthly metric reports and be involved in the warranty accrual monitoring process.

In addition, this role will have added responsibilities as this area evolves into the single point of customer interface for all customer claims including but not limited to warranty claims, contractual claims (CPL claims or Incentive credits) and pricing or short shipment claims.

Essential/key responsibilities:

  • Manage and train the LS warranty analysts located in both Troy and Oakville.

  • Develop direct reports through effective performance plan assessments and viable developmental plans. Facilitate and integrate employee competencies for succession planning.

  • Manage the accurate and timely processing of all warranty claims in compliance with all contractual requirements.

  • Monitor monthly warranty performance activity through the issuance of an LS level warranty monthly report utilizing predetermined metrics.

  • Maintain close communication with the Contracts, Returned Goods (RG) and Finance teams.

  • Work with FSE team concerning the appropriate processing of customer warranty claims.

  • Improve customer perception by developing a process that focuses on ease of customer use for submitting warranty claims and speeding the time to process to best in class levels. This could include utilizing the E-Commerce portal for warranty claim submission.

  • Ensure contractual compliance is maintained in the warranty processing and work flow approval processes.

  • Support Maintenance, repair and overhaul warranty processing.

  • Drive achievement of operational excellence through the deployment of ACE/AIM and consistently demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Supports and implements all ITC initiatives; promotes strong ethical culture and sustains best-in-class Ethics and Compliance.

Qualification:

Strong interpersonal, organizational and software skills (spreadsheets, database, word processing and graphics) are a must for the position. Ability to take leadership role in projects and attain results with minimal guidance. Customer first focused.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate with demanding customers

  • Strong knowledge of business processes such as logistics, Finances as well as familiarity with customer base.

  • Experience utilizing SAP.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.

  • Strong business acumen to support strategic initiatives

Education:

BA/BS Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience

OR

an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
