Carrier Marine and Offshore is responsible for the sales of air conditioning products and systems for the shipping industry from cruise ships to fishing boats, offshore platforms and oil tankers. This department stands under control of the U.S. and operates internationally.

We are currently looking for a Service Coordinator in our service department. In this position, you would focus on the operational side of our service activities and provides technical and logistical support including installing, maintaining and repairing air-conditioning and cool installations on board of ships and offshore islands in alternating circumstances

Your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Coordinates the logistic process of all required tools and parts for the service projects

  • Documents all the requirements for the project, both in terms of parts and tools and informs the relevant Service Engineers ensuring that the requirements are present on the right location in time

  • Independently performing of complex services, repair- and maintenance procedures. This is often with limited technical information

  • Detects the source of failures and fixes malfunctions of different natures

  • Performs advanced test procedures

  • Detects damages on technical installations and makes rapports

  • Coordinates commissioning of new products or service related projects in collaboration with the service team, clients and suppliers

  • Provides technical assessments for the onboard service for AC systems

Degree:

  • BA/BS degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience MA/MS degree with 4-7 years of relevant experience

Desired:

  • The ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and respond to rapidly changing priorities or opportunities.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing (English), to be able to communicate well with customers and internally to provide high quality support and handle logistical issues.

  • HVE working level in the field of Engineering.

  • Experience as a HVAC Service Engineer (focusing on AC cooling technology) and at least 10 years of working experience in a similar position / company is a requirement.

  • Knowledge of HVAC tools and experience with marine service projects.

  • Experience with centrifugal and screw compressor cooling technology and also with standard products such as reciprocating compressors (semi hermetic and open drive) en AC cooling systems.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently under minimum direction and without day-to-day supervision to prioritize work to meet customer needs

  • Organized with strong attention to detail, while handling multiple priorities

  • Shown ability to implement continuous improvements and standardize processes
