This position is with the CCS Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for executing various complex product management responsibilities for several categories of HVAC products (e.g. heating). The role is responsible for products across all channels and brands that RC offers, including Factory Authorized Parts, Fast OEM, Totaline, and FAST aftermarket parts. The focus will be on product management and driving growth in sales to distribution, CCS Service and contractors, while delivering on profitability goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify business opportunities and prepare plans in support of potential new business utilizing the Passport review process to gain business unit approvals; manage associated projects

  • Successfully execute the tasks associated within the plan, including product identification, sales and product forecasts, pricing, negotiations and execution of market strategy

  • Help build the Residential and Commercial Product portfolio, including heating and coils, to drive sales in support of Carrier/ICP branded equipment and aftermarket sales opportunities

  • Communicate with finished goods equipment Product Managers

  • Manage new product introductions based on market demand and business opportunity, including project management of a cross functional team

  • Manage current product offerings for select product categories; specifically management of the HVAC Parts and Supplies Product Group including financials, pricing, bulk master carton packaging, product logistics, inventory reviews (assist with last time buys, obsolete and excess, etc.)

  • Provide product information, legal approved product claims to support preparation of marketing materials; Provide support for product training including videos or on-line learning module script development and review

  • Support the RC Parts Information Management (PIM) process to ensure we have electronic data to be used in e-commerce

  • Support the RC Sales force by addressing customer requirements and building product and brand loyalty with RC's customers

  • Conduct product training sessions at customer training events for 50-150 attendees

  • Support of distributor events such as open houses and trade shows to discuss and promote products

  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries

  • Manage quarterly standard cost and price updates, and review and recommend price modifications

Qualification:

  • Experience in a product management or product marketing role

  • Project management experience and skills

  • Specific knowledge of the HVAC/R industry and replacement service parts is desired

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact and collaborate with a cross-fictional team of Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Marketing, Training and Sales associates

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-initiative and sense of ownership

  • Highly organized with attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

  • Superior follow up and follow through skills

  • Use or knowledge of RC systems (C-10, EPIC/EPMS, SalesForce) is a plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing 7 years' product marketing experience

  • Master's degree Business or Marketing with 5 years' product marketing experience
