This position supports the Credit function for the Financial Shared Services group within HVAC Americas. The position has a high level of interaction with the customer base, sales operations and finance management team.The position includes credit analysis for new, as well as existing customers from a variety of business units within the organization. The employee will also provide support for process changes and portfolio migrations within the Financial Shared Services group, as well as supporting standard operating procedure guides and seeking continued efficiencies to processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide extensive credit risk analysis and support to internal and external customers on a receivables portfolio

  • Perform financial/trend analysis for determination/recommendation of credit extensions on commercial portfolios

  • Provide credit decision support/communicate credit concerns and override recommendations when required

  • Provide recommendations for Annual updates to Finance Manuals via Business Unit interaction

  • Perform portfolio comparison analysis

  • Ensure audit compliance based on departments’ standard practices

  • Mitigate risk/bad debt losses and maximize accounts receivable collections via alternative security options

  • Partner with internal Legal Counsel and Business Unit personnel as needed to update risk mitigating guidelines/action plans based on business climate

  • Train, counsel, advise and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel

  • Actively participate in a team environment

Qualification:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid understanding of MS Excel

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred/variety of systems experience

  • Familiarity with commercial and consumer credit scores

  • Project management skills/experience helpful

  • Team oriented

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 4–7+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 2–5+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting
