We are hiring for REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (China) , to join our Asia Pacific Commercial Aviation Sales team based in Shanghai (China). This position reports to the Senior Manager, Sales (China)

As part of the dynamic team, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the sales activities within China and accountable to achieve the targeted sales revenue. The Regional Sales Manager will provide overall account management and delivery services to the customers. It includes working and building relationships with all departments both internal and external; as well as providing consistent customer service excellence. The successful candidate is required to be able to strike a balance between customer expectations and the company’s objectives.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Accountable for the development and execution of sales / business plan and campaign, and product development plans

  • Develops contacts and networks with existing and potential customers for strategic relationships to grow the business

  • Fully understands company capabilities and services; and effectively communicates suitable offerings to the customers

  • Monitors customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts; maintain technical proficiency and consult with prospective customers regarding use of company

  • Understands existing and anticipated customers’ requirements and identify suitable solutions to fill such requirements

  • Works in collaboration with internal stakeholders and other business units to create demand with customers by offering awareness, value proposition and cross-sell among solutions portfolios

  • Maintainsappropriate levels of involvement in customer issues requiring resolution, including but not limited to invoices, accounts receivables and services

  • Continuously gathers market intelligence (including competitors analysis and market trends/changes/disruptions) and provide regular updates to the management to support business decision

  • Any other ad-hoc as assigned by the leader

Job Requirements:

  • Typically requires BS/BA degree in technical/business related discipline

  • At least ten or more relevant years’ experience in selling solutions of Aviation Connectivity and Network Services/Solutions; e.g. aviation networks, air-to-ground and ground-to-ground networks/communications, within China

  • Must have proven track records in achieving ambitious sales revenue target within Aviation/Airlines Technologies domain

  • Strong networks within Aviation / Airlines industry is prerequisite

  • Possess the gravitas to develop and maintain positive relationship with both internal and external stakeholders; including senior level management

  • Acquire natural flair to communicate with people effectively, persuasively and respectfully

  • Mastery level of presentation skills in an articulate and clear elegance

  • Proficiency in English is demonstrated in communication, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Prior regional sales experience from a reputable global organization is preferred

  • Ability to travel at least 50% of time

Job Summary

Responsible for the sale of company products and/or services to assigned accounts or within a given region. Develops contacts with existing and potential customers. Understand existing and anticipated customer requirements and identify company products and services to fill such requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies potential markets and develops new customer and existing relationships within those markets.

  • Develops and implements sales strategies for targeted new key accounts. Good knowledge of line of products and services as well as clients' issues and needs. Develops business with key accounts.

  • Lead efforts to create demand with end customers (Offering awareness, Value proposition, etc). Often cross sells among product and solutions portfolios

  • Lead sales efforts to create and maintain relationships with end- customers. Support strategic dealer relationships as directed by the region leader..

  • Responsible for the sale of company products, services, and solutions to assigned markets.

  • Plan sales calls and close sales.

  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on key matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

  • Support the business units' marketing organizations with accurate market, customer and competitive information.

  • Coordinate with other business units where applicable to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop contacts with existing and potential customers in a region.

  • May advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.

  • Good understanding of existing and anticipated customer requirements and identify company products and services to fill such requirements: Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts; Maintain technical proficiency and consult with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services.

  • Create sales presentations with limited support from sales presentations; Quote prices and delivery dates.

  • Demonstrate and provide instruction to clients on the use of products: Keep informed of new products and other information of interest to customers.

  • Investigate new applications or improvements to products.

  • May provide marketing intelligence to sales management for a sub-set of a region.

  • Acts to a high degree independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Works under minimal consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are occasionally self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory.

  • Develops solutions to problems of complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
