Role Overview

This position is for an Entry-level professional in Supply Chain Management. Works to achieve general day-to-day objectives focusing on supply chain strategies and goals. May be responsible for making minor changes or enhancements to supply chain management processes and systems. Explains facts, policies, and practices to outside functional areas in support of supply chain strategy.

Electric Power Systems Supply Chain, , Located in Rockford Illinois, is seeking a goal-oriented and energetic supply chain professional to manage customer proposals to ensure on-time delivery, zero defect plans, and drive strategic results within their customer and/or business unit accounts. This role offers the selected candidate an opportunity to engage with various levels of management both internally and externally.

The Supply Chain Account Associate is responsible to manage all aspects of assigned proposal activities, including delivery and quality performance, cost and inventory management, contractual compliance and internal / external customer satisfaction. The selected candidate will be responsible for proposal execution, delivery, cost, and quality. The selected candidate must ensure compliance with all aspects of the UTAS Procedures, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supports one or more Supply Chain disciplines in executing routine processes.

• Assists internal teams in proposal development.

• Takes dispatch details from customers and provides internal teams with specific instructions regarding handling and execution.

• Handles queries from internal and external stakeholders.

• Manages major responsibilities across multiple supply chain disciplines on a regular basis.

• Performs supply chain activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline.

• May also include professional employees required to perform activities across several disciplines on smaller sites.


Preferred Qualifications:

•Previous business related experience in Supply Chain or the Aerospace Industry

•Previous experience with SAP

•Strong communicator (written & verbal), and comfortable in both large and small audiences.

•Ability to present proposal findings internally and externally with customers, while interacting with Collins Aerospace management teams.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
