The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for executing and expanding on key initiatives inside of the supplier quality organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible in high pressure situations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implementing, monitoring, approving and/or closing FAI approvals, UPPAP requirements, sampling plans, and ProCert (SPC-AS9103) projects in the supply base. Report outs on plan and progress will be made to executive team on a regular basis. Travel will be required to aid supplier in training and closing actions.

  • Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, measurement systems analysis, process control plans, process flows, key process input/output analysis, and first article reports (AS9102).

  • Responsibilities will also include supporting/leading supplier quality meetings/reviews and weekly stand up meetings in front of Quality & Supply Chain Leadership.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant procedures/requirements is necessary.

  • Participation in process, procedural and standard work development and updates.

  • Opportunity to identify an area of improvement within the organization and hold an event to solve the problem.

Qualification:

Required

  • 4 - 7 years of experience in engineering or quality engineering field related to the manufacture of Aerospace Components, Automotive Structures or Department of Defense.

  • Experience in quality system, project management, product, or technical process

  • Experience in SPC.

  • Strong P.C. skills.

  • Strong communication skills and experience with cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability.

Preferred

  • Lean manufacturing experience, Digital Product Definition & Model Based definition experience.

  • Experience with advanced aerospace components manufacturing, machining, and assembly.

  • Project management experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, MFG Technology, or Quality required
