Responsible for performing activities related to competitive analysis, market research, market share determination, external product/capability overviews, provides support to the overall RCS pursuit and order capture process.
Functions as liaison between regional sales and marketing function. Provides and/or initiates sales analysis affecting distribution, spending as it relates to volume, brand promotional strategy, and selling tools.
May also participate in presales or sales meetings to review proposed plans.
Participates in the central development and implementation of new products, re-launches, new business building programs, sales rationale.
Responsible for developing capture plans and market pricing. Develops and maintains customer business relationships in domestic or international markets. Advises or obtains information for sales regarding the viability of new technologies/services.
Evaluates and reviews consumer research, point-of-sale and syndicated data.
Works toward mutual goals and objectives to build awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the alliance.
May conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/acquisition perspective.
Normally receives little instruction on day to day work, general instructions on new assignments. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Full knowledge of industry practices. A seasoned, experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented position.
Ability to generate and analyze competitive assessments.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
Experience in unmanned system solutions preferred
Experience in commercial application of unmanned systems
Experience in US Army application/vision of unmanned systems preferred
Ability to navigate US Department of Defense customer base to determine needs and provide possible solutions to customers
Outside the box thinker - ability to visualize solutions meets customers needs
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (25% minimum)
