Sensors Unlimited is looking for an experienced Lead PCB Designer, who will support the Electronics Design team. He/she will be the primary PCB design person, working with engineers through all phases of layout from board definition through the generation of final fabrication files. This important role will interface with and support other disciplines, and must be able to communicate effectively, execute work accurately, and meet program milestones. The candidate must have knowledge of relevant industry standards (IPC), as well as the ability to adhere to department work instructions and industry best practices. In addition, the candidate will oversee the day-to-day organization and running of the Electronic Labs, ensuring equipment and supplies are maintained in good order.

Education and Certifications:

BSEE/BSEET degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience (preferred). or AA/AS degree, Technical School Certificate or Diploma, or other post-high school training (two years duration) with a minimum of 8 years of experience. or 10 or more years of directly-relevant industry experience

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required.

  • Experience with OrCAD Schematic Capture and PADS Layout tools required.

  • Experience with Altium Designer or DxDesigner helpful but not required.

  • 10+ years experience in layout of high-speed Digital, low-noise Analog and Power Supply circuitry; multi-layer PCBs, blind/buried/micro via technology; flex circuits; BGAs, SMT.

  • Familiarity with electronic circuitry and principles required.

  • Familiarity with the operability of common lab equipment required.

  • From time to time, working additional hours may be required, as needed to support program milestones.

  • Flexible working arrangements are available.
