RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Service team in troubleshooting, servicing, and preventative maintenance on Automated Logic DDC and Phoenix Controls systems. Assist in small projects including new equipment install, startup, and checkout, in addition to upgrades and expansion of new and existing systems.

Qualification:

  • A desire to learn to read and understand Control drawings, Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints

  • Basic experience with Microsoft software products to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Windows products when required

  • A desire to achieve a working knowledge of Automated Logic and Phoenix hardware and software

  • A desire to understand the operation and control of mechanical equipment and their control sequences

  • Work towards an understanding of computer and networking skills to properly maintain a service laptop as well as the commissioning of Ethernet and ARC Net communications

  • Possess and maintain valid and current Driver's License and be insurable by our company's insurance carrier

  • Willingness to travel in excess of 50 percent of typical work week, mostly local travel and seldom overnight hotel stays

  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

  • Basic understanding of control logic

  • Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred

  • Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Computers, or an HVAC related discipline
