The Phoenix site Human Resources Manager is accountable for ensuring that the site-level HR Agenda is aligned with the business plan and the broader HR organizational vision. The HR Manager is a key member of the Site Leadership team and will be expected to drive a culture of accountability with a particular focus on effective performance and talent management. The site HR manager will work with individual discipline leaders in a collaborative manner to create succession plans that support the mobility of key talent across lines of business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the site leadership team, partner with senior leadership to create a site-level HR Agenda that positions operations leadership to execute the business plan in the most cost effective manner

  • Partner with site leaders and their individual leadership teams to develop a consistent approach for managing performance and ensuring that talent development and succession planning are priorities

  • Coach and support site leadership and their leadership teams in conducting regular performance feedback sessions and ensuring proper documentation of progress against performance objectives

  • Ensure that you and the HR team that you lead are physically present and actively participate in shop floor level engagements and that you maintain a visible presence in and around the shop floor

  • Support the site leadership teams in managing internal pay equity and work to ensure that we remain competitive externally

  • Partner with local and headquarters communications teams to properly manage change and communications

  • Be prepared to challenge leaders and their leadership teams with respect and coach others in this area

  • Create engagement strategies and action plans that are intended to improve employee retention

  • Actively drive the leadership team to address Pulse Survey (employee opinion survey) outcomes in a manner that is measurable and achievable

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct HR leadership

Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ability to demonstrate a minimum of six years of progressive HR experience, or four years with a Master's Degree in an HR discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly identify key drivers of business success and to agree potential HR initiatives to improve business performance

  • Experience successfully gaining the trust necessary to coach, influence and challenge senior leaders

  • Experience providing direction and counseling on various HR related topics and on issues impacting business performance

  • Experience introducing and driving change initiatives with a focus on effective change management practices and principles

  • Experience driving organizational leaders to consider current talent constraints and advising on approaches to proactively address future anticipated talent needs

  • The ability to demonstrate a disciplined approach to the design and deployment of different HR initiatives and annual HR deliverables such as compensation reviews and talent assessments

  • Experience creating sourcing and talent acquisition strategies that result in robust talent pipelines of diverse talent

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly identify employee relations issues and advise senior leadership on plans of action to address underlying cause

  • Experience conducting investigations, preparing required documentation and making appropriate recommendations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline is required

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline is preferred

  • Formal certification either through SHRM or through a specialist HR discipline is preferred
