Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Established in 1985, the Phoenix Electronics Operations’ products and services consist of final assembly, test, and integration of electronic controls for commercial and military aircraft with an embedded Repair organization. One of our major strategic initiatives entails becoming a manufacturing center of excellence with Lean Transformation taking us to ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) Silver within the near future. We have content in over 60,000 aircrafts and we are AS9100 certified; ISO 9001: 2000; CAAC; EASA; and FAA approved. We are a recognized OSHA VPP facility that promotes a safe and effective workplace. We have an opportunity for a results-driven Operations/Production Manager overseeing the entire assembly and test operations within the assigned cell to include new product introductions. Direct leadership responsibility of 4 - 8 direct reports and an organization of about 60 salaried and factory associates. The position is directly responsible for On-Time Delivery of our products to the customer, quality excellence, and cost of products and indirectly responsible for external Supply Chain performance which includes supplier management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership for salaried and factory talent to include employee training and development, employee engagement, and performance management.

  • Is a Self-Aware Leader/Learner who embraces and accelerates change

  • Monitors and ensures efficient utilization of resources, equipment, and facilities.

  • Creates a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of safety policies, procedures and programs and adhering to requirements under EPA, DPA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

  • Understands and promotes lean principles and process discipline to achieve and sustain high performance.

  • Provides leadership to foster the ACE continuous improvement philosophy.

  • Assures adherence to standard operating practices/methods and maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Leads Safety and environment

Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and ACE/Process improvement project experience

  • Demonstrated safety and environment experience

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment

  • Efficient use of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

  • MS Office Experience – Excel(creating, updating spreadsheets, vlookup, pivot tables), Word(creating, updating and formatting documents)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Supervisory experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years OR Master's Degree with 2+ years relevant operations, supply chain, engineering and/or operations is required.
