Performs routine and non-routine technical functions related to activities such as test, calibration, development and troubleshooting of electronics and Electro-mechanical devices or test equipment. Work to be performed on analog or digital applications and includes Safety of flight testing as well as high voltage applications.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine and non-routine testing, troubleshooting, environmental testing, and developmental engineering tasks.
Performs operational tests and fault isolation on devices and test equipment.
Diagnoses and isolates failures down to component level.
Conducts defined tests and collects required data.
Utilizes diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, meters, signal generators and various standard and custom test devices.
Performs routine technical functions related to the support of test engineering activities such as design, test, calibration, modification, and validation of electronics and test equipment.
Performs Safety of flight and product testing including Thermal, Vibration, Altitude, Photometric, and/or Dielectric and bonding testing.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal communication in a self-directed and self-motivated environment.
Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school.
Experience with the assembly of cable/harness, circuit cards, mechanical fixtures
Experience with Integration and Testing of Analog and Digital circuitry in electronic and electromechanical applications
Ability to use electronic and manual data collection systems to accurately record test values and work performed on product
Familiar with handling and testing electronic and electromechanical board and unit level within aerospace assembly environment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Ability to work with a Microsoft Office products and process documentation
Ability to correct minor defects in production builds
Ability to work 1st shift hours, occasional overtime and weekend coverage
Sitting approximately 3-5 hours per day
Standing approximately 3-5 hours per day
Ability to lift up to 35lbs
Work safely within high-voltage environment
Color Vision, is required
Vision or corrected vision to be able to clearly see fine detail work is required
