The Fire & Security Products (FSP) business unit at UTC Climate, Controls & Security develops a comprehensive product portfolio to protect buildings, people and assets:

  • Innovative residential and commercial fire detection and suppression products with global brands including Kidde, Edwards, Marioff, Autronica, GST and Det-Tronics.

  • Innovative security products that include advanced software and hardware, IP solutions, wireless communications, electronic locking systems, and mobile applications with leading brands including Lenel, Interlogix, Supra and Onity.

We are seeking a dynamic program specialist to support manufacturing operations growth objectives. As the Digital Factory program Specialist, you will support the overall Connected Factory implementation plan for Fire & Security Products. This position will support enterprise implementation schedule and budget that are aligned with UTC digital corporate initiatives and the Industry 4.0 team. This role will be part of a team responsible for project requirements, implementation schedule plans, and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support a wide variety of planning, blueprinting, testing activities to support the Digital Factory Implementation

  • Identify risk and ideas for mitigation plans, recommend solutions to support changing priorities and scheduling conflicts

  • Work with Digital Factory Program Manager, Vendors, Digital Technology, Module Center teams, as well as shop floor operators to review Digital implementation schedules and track action items to closure

  • Communicate bottlenecks and gaps that impact the overall plan during the implementation process

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, digital technology, materials management, project management, with strategic level business transformation projects preferred

  • Understanding of Manufacturing Operations, Materials Management, or Supply Chain Management, as well as Industry 4.0 and/or Smart Factory Industry strategies

  • Familiarity with MES, MOM, SCADA, OPC and similar technologies

  • Highly motivated self-starter that can work well with others in the team environment

  • Strong analytical skills and have the ability to execute complex tasks simultaneously. Technical writing skills a plus

  • Strong organizational skills coupled with good communication skills both oral and written

  • Sound business judgement and integrity are critical

  • Travel 10%

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Info Systems
