The Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Project Engineering group has opening for Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) field engineer internship. The primary functions of the position are to be an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. The MRO Engineering intern will support Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) responsible for Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine, Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware across Pratt & Whitney’s family of engines at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City. The responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Work as the onsite MRO intern under the direction of a senior MRO engineer supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
Trend hardware health for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and repair tasks activities.
Communicate with our Tinker AFB customers to aid with engineering investigations and support.
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Possess strong communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware is a plus.
