Description:

In this position, you will report to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager. As the Project Manager -- Capital Projects, you will partner with cross-functional groups in the surface finishing/plating department to successfully plan and coordinate multiple, large projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish, execute and manage multiple complex project plans within the surface finishing/plating area in order to meet site commitments within set timeframes.

  • Manage the overall budget and expenditures to ensure spend commitments are met.

  • Ensure safety and quality policies are met throughout the project.

  • Provide technical expertise in all aspects of the projects assigned.

  • Facilitate project team events and meetings to ensure project milestones and commitments are met.

  • Manage the suppliers and third party contractors assigned to the projects.

  • Control and manage project execution and implement corrective actions to mitigate project risks.

  • Prepare and present regular project status updates to the site leadership.

  • Foster strong customer relationships through accountability, transparency and credibility.

  • Support special projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in a chemical or materials discipline.

  • Minimum 5 -- 10 years' experience in managing multiple complex projects within a manufacturing environment

  • Project Management Professional designation strongly preferred.

  • Professional Engineering designation strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical experience in a surface finishing/plating environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute project plans to achieve specific goals within tight timelines.

  • Excellent organization, communication and relationship building skills.

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Expert computer skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure within tight time constraints.

  • Successfully candidate must meet all requirements under CGD and ITAR.
