JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer will be assigned to the Module Assembly Quality organization and will be responsible for the following:

  • Investigate non-conformances caused during the assembly process and assist with implementation of Root Cause and Corrective action

  • Coordinate SDO (stop delivery order) or IRO (Internal Review Order) impact on F-135, NGPF and NEO product lines

  • Work with Quality Clinic to manage PRT investigations for Assembly related escapes

  • Initiate MCAB projects with process engineering for repetitive assembly non-conformances or turn-backs

  • Continuously improve Module assembly inspection capability though technology deployment

  • Coach, train and assist inspection personnel with assembly floor issues or concerns

  • Maintain ACE discipline and certification

  • Proliferate good RRCA and Corrective action usage throughout assigned organization

  • Willing to continue to improve RCCA competency

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  1. 3+ years experience in a quality or aerospace role

  2. BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering

  2. SAP familiarization with quality transactions

  3. Knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

  4. Working knowledge of jet engine assembly inspection technique

  5. Experience with technical drawing and blue print interpretation

BA or BS Degree
