Job Description

In the role of Material Review Engineer (MRE) position for North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) Hardware in North Berwick, Maine, you will support both detail part production and North Berwick Module Assembly.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will review and provide technical disposition of commercial & military hardware non-conformances produced in house or at supplier manufacturing locations.

  • You will ensure product integrity and compliance to FAA regulations and Military specifications.

  • You will maintain P&W quality image to all customers, through evaluation, investigation, analysis and repair development.

  • You will provide credible balance between Manufacturing capabilities and Engineering requirements.

This position will work with all Engineering disciplines (Structures, Aero and Design), Manufacturing and Quality Engineers, Operations personnel, local on-site DCMA and suppliers.

This is a 2nd shift position (3:30PM to 12midnight).

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

  • Min 10 years of experience in design of jet engines required.

  • U.S. citizenship required due to government requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ to 15 years of experience in design of jet engines preferred.

  • Experience with SAP QN system

  • Good communication skills

  • High level of personal integrity

  • Solid judgment in decision-making

  • Accurate and diligent problem solving skills

  • Ability to clearly convey decisions and uphold them in high pressure situations.

Education:
