Job Overview

We are hiring for a Second Shift Tester II position to perform various testing procedures to our product line.The Second Shift Tester II position begins at 3:00 pm daily. As a Tester, you will be responsible for certifying that tests performed are in accordance with the specified requirements and accurately represent test results. You will be required to maintain test equipment and hardware. You must also work in close cooperation with supervision, engineering and other support personnel to resolve problems related to test or quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computer system by entering and retrieving information to perform normal daily activities

  • Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain neat and orderly work area; test equipment and hardware

  • Work in close cooperation with supervision, engineering and other support personnel to resolve problems related to test or quality.

  • Work to specifications and use instrumentation and test hardware

  • Maintain accurate and legible records for all testing activities

  • Certify that tests performed are in accordance with the specified requirements and accurately represent test results

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Remain informed and understand CSL and TAT goals for the team.

  • Actively participate in ACE continuous improvement and Environmental Health and Safety (EH & S) activities

  • Support sites EH & S Program

  • Comply with EH & S Cardinal Rules

  • Comply with EH & S Policies and PPE requirements

  • Attend all required training

  • Report near misses and unsafe acts

  • Support site's Wellness Program

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have minimum of 3 years work experience in the aviation industry and the ability to operate minimum of 2 test stands.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English without assistance; ability to interpret data

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Knowledge of shop mathematics and geometric dimensions and tolerance

  • Knowledge of all test procedure and associated test equipment

  • Computer literate; able to utilize computer system to input and retrieve information

  • Demonstrate proficiency at interpreting, understanding, and documenting information from data acquisitions & general purpose test equipment

  • Ability to perform quality control self-assessments on test lab areas

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and resolve issues in a fast paced and team orientated environment.

  • Must have basic troubleshooting knowledge; ability to measure gauges and test equipment

  • Must demonstrate ethical work habits.

  • Must have good listening skills.

  • Must be able to follow instructions under direct and non-direct supervision

  • Must be a team player and enjoy working in a team environment

  • Must be customer focused and focused on results

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Prefer individual who has completed a minimum of 2+ year’s trade school training or equivalent.
