The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that flourishes with the utilization of the UTC ACE operating system, while coaching and supporting the supply base to ensure they meet our quality standards and achieve success in their lean journey. We are looking for a strong leader with interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a challenging environment. You should able be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives.

The role of Supply Chain Manager is both exciting & meaningful. This position requires unusual analytical skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Supply Chain, Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers. Dynamic interpersonal skills, specifically conversational, email, and telephone, are required. Delighting customers is a priority by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired communication means.

The Supply Chain Manager will lead a matrixed team of direct report Account Specialists, with in-direct support from Quality, Materials, Partnership Suppliers, Continuous Improvement, Global Work Share, etc. to deliver quality Entry Into Service and In Service engine components on-time at target cost.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and engage employees in the business through use of the ACE Operating System. This includes leading selected ACE elements that will guide / lead the Hot Section Team to ACE Gold.

  • Develop and execute Supplier Gold Strategy, which will ensure attainment of Gold spend status and Underperforming Suppliers are identified.

  • Develop a delivery assurance plan aligned with xRM, Supplier Delivery & Quality Clinics, Business Reviews and Delivery Gated Review Process, which ensures long term business delivery performance objectives are achieved.

  • Develop the Product Process Organization (PPO) relationship to ensure source selection alignment to VSM strategy

  • Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management.

  • Lead the supplier accountability board process for the cognizant value stream

  • Craft and execute staffing plans to support the long term sourcing strategy.

  • Ensure Export Control Compliance

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years’ experience in operations, supply chain or logistics management or Business or 7+ years experience with a MBA or MS degree

  • Bachelors Degree-Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Technical field

  • US Citizenship required for this role

  • Strong organizational, communication, and dynamic social skills

  • Supervisory and strong work ethic

  • You were part of working with cross functional teams to include Sr. Management.

  • Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
