The Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles(MSEN)Module Center delivers highly technical state of the art products to the Engine Center and Spares Organizations. The Small Machined Parts team is looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for driving overall quality, cost and delivery assurance processes to ensure product delivery and customer happiness. The role of Supply Chain Manager is both exciting & challenging.

You will need unusual analytical skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Supply Chain, Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers. You must craft clear communications, specifically conversational, email, and telephone. Delighting customers is a priority by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired communication means. You will have the responsibility for the management of a Team/Account Specialists and work directly with suppliers to drive their manufacturing, quality and delivery efforts. Working with the Value Stream Manager to actively identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and assist in the development of plans, which allow us to meet organizational objectives will require both dynamic and new ideas. US Citizen due to government contracts

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Own delivery of Small Machined Parts details

  • Drive value stream improvements and business results through usage of supplier management processes (6-pack, DQA clinics) and the ACE tools

  • Implement Long Term Agreements and collaborate with strategic sourcing

  • Lead team responsible for handling purchase orders and delivery against orders

  • Coach, mentor and lead team’s daily activities and serve as first tier point of critical issue

  • Actively follow Procurement Manual/Standard Work procedure

  • Lead the efforts of a cross functional team, including engineering, strategic sourcing, materials planning, quality and production readiness for successful product strategy and delivery

  • Lead Delivery Assurance, VCAB and Supplier Performance Teams to achieve and improve escape reduction, cost reduction, on time delivery performance and Supplier Gold execution

Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in operations, supply chain or logistics management or with Bachelors Degree or 5+ years experience with a MBA or MS degree

  • Bachelors Degree-Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory skills

  • Procurement Systems - SAP, MRP

  • Experience in using ACE tools to make process improvements

  • Ability to make a difference in a cross functional environment

  • Hands on experience and dynamic problem solver with the ability to craft solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas.

  • Excellent judgment and professional maturity

  • Ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communication

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree-Required

  • MBA/MS preferred
