The Compression & Mechanical Systems Mod Center Supplier Quality (CSMCSQ) team is responsible for working closely with our suppliers to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. CSMCSQ is looking for a New Product Integration (NPI) Supplier Quality Manager.

In this role, you will lead a team of NPI Supplier Quality Engineers who are certified as MFPs (UPPAP Member Focal Points) in the improvement of Suppliers' Quality as well as providing Quality interface, expertise and support to Suppliers and the CSMC Global Supply Chain team. The NPI Team is focused on driving proactive initiatives with suppliers (i.e. UPPAP, Pro Cert, Ring Fence initiatives, etc.) to improve their quality signature.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading NPI SQEs/MFPs in ensuring product and process compliance by providing guidance and direction with regards to quality systems and requirements

  • Maintain key relationships with CSMC Value Stream Managers, suppliers’ Quality and Operations Management teams, and PW Engineering to execute the supply base improvement plans and meet customer requirements

  • Provide leadership to solve value stream quality challenges to ensure success and customer satisfaction

  • Coordinate and approve UPPAP packages review with Suppliers

  • Execute Process Capability Reviews/PFMEA Reviews/Ring Fence Strategies

  • Attract, develop and mentor diverse talent in CSMC NPI Supplier Quality

  • Foster and maintain a cooperative relationship with our key regulatory customers (FAA & DCMA)

  • Drive product and process improvements that ensure Module Center’s quality metric goals are met (Escapes, QNLI Reduction, Process Cert, UPPAP, Gage Suitability)

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of ACE tools to implement change, eliminate escapes and reduce cost and lead times

  • Support Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB) reviews and CSMC Quality Metrics

  • Travel may be up to 20%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace and/or quality area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with UPPAP a plus, as well as experience with Process Capability Review/PFMEA

  • An understanding of P&W Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems, AS9100 and Regulatory Agency Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers

  • Ability to lead projects, develop and mentor other leaders

  • Supervisory experience preferred and the ability to facilitate and motivate teams

  • Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools

  • Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems desired

  • ASQ certification is a plus

  • Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities

  • Ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communications

  • Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities

  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner
