As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Production Planner in our Beverage Maker Products business located in Lenexa, KS .
Responsible for developing demand forecasts, driving continuous improvement of forecasts, and facilitating consensus on across internal and external stakeholders. Interacts and communicates with other functions as appropriate to obtain current and accurate information. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of business functions.
Creates and develops demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, data and information
Requires assessment of situations where data may be inaccurate or incomplete. These situations need to be evaluated and corrective action taken.
Minimize inconsistencies in information and understanding in the supply chain.
Improving forecasting techniques, method and approach.
Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand processes and systems.
Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed. Providing process management and governance and driving process optimization and stabilization.
Monitoring and review forecast performance against the actual shipments/orders.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Operations Management or Finance or related field.
At least three years related experience and/or training in forcasting or demand planning, distribution and service parts prefererd.
Knowledge of key demand planning and inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions etc.
Experience working cross-functionally with the areas of Sales and Marketing, and Finance, Operations and IT.
Excellent computer skills especially in Excel and Access.
Expereince using demand pla nning software (i.e. JDA).
Understands all elements of the supply chain process, and understands the information flow throughout demand and supply planning process.
Extensive spreadsheet analysis, analytical skills, and strong mathematical and statistical abilities.
APICS certified in Production and Iventory Mangement (CPIM) preferred.
Significanant relevant knowledge of aerospace hardware.
Ability to adapt changing business needs and priorities.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Results driven with a can-do attidude to ensure solutions.
Ability to multi-task.
