Job Summary -

  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets with delivery commitments, track part shortages and interface with buyers/suppliers to obtain parts and promises.

  • Possess in-depth SAP skills to research and manage system logistics of part flow and deliveries.

  • Interface via phone and e-mail with customers daily.

  • Utilize ACE/Lean principles to establish world-class Materials/Flow Synchronization within the value stream.

  • Enhance/improve existing shortage management process.

  • Lead shortage management process/meetings.

  • The focal point for the resolution of materials/logistics issues.

  • Coordinate to ensure parts are available when needed.

  • Make allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware.

  • Maintain/distribute key shortage management metrics.

  • Support efforts to drive cost and lead time reductions.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in Materials Planning

Preferred Qualifications -

  • MRP and ERP work experience

  • Work in a fast pace environment.

  • Ability to multitask functions, be well organized and possess self-direction.

  • Developing and executing strategies for the shortage management process, developing and executing standard work for various materials/logistics processes.

  • Possess a strong manufacturing/materials background.

  • Demonstrated leadership, business judgment, innovation, analytical ability, and teaming skills.

  • Strong communication skills.
