Job Summary -

During an exciting time of business growth and expansion, the Auto Air facility in Lansing, MI is currently seeking an EH&S generalist. This position is responsible for providing environmental occupational health, and safety site support including compliance with EHS legislation and the implementation of the EHS Management System.

Job Summary -

  • Utilize a broad knowledge of at least two EHS disciplines to provide advice, support, and technical guidance to management including moderate to complex issues/concerns in relation to the site's business, compliance with EHS legislation, and maintenance of the site's EHS Management System

  • Coordinate and conduct specialized Environmental, Health and/or Safety audits and inspections of premises and operations in conjunction with others to monitor performance and assist the relevant line management to produce action plans to implement the necessary improvements.

  • Promote the active management of EH&S through the identification of hazards, evaluation of solutions and residual risk, and prioritized management action. Facilitate and manage EHS committee and other a. Develop, coordinate and provide subject-specific EHS related training for EHS related subjects required by federal, state, local and company requirements.

  • Maintain relevant records, produce reports and review statistics.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in environmental, safety and health OR Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience in environmental, safety and health.

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Experience in Industrial Hygiene including conducting testing and/or assisting in environmental monitoring.

  • Experience in conducting risk analysis and hazard identification.

  • Experience in ergonomic assessment.

  • Experience in speaking to root cause analysis and corrective action development and implementation.

Education: Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in environmental, safety and health OR Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience in environmental, safety and health.
