What will you be doing?

You will support specifying and design activities in the building and construction industry. Responsibilities will include utilizing technical expertise to enhance business relationships with Engineers, Building Owners and Developers to design and specify building control solutions. This will include design and engineering support for HVAC, lighting, sustainability programs/features and other sub-systems that impact comfort and utilities within a facility. This position will also potentially support other sales team members, as well as local training and marketing initiatives.

Consistent, accurate, timely and professional service to the customer is vital to success. Developing trust with new customers and outperforming competitor service level to existing customers will provide a challenge. Becoming the trusted technical advisor that results in improved product positioning and market share are the key metrics determining success.

Where will you work?

This position is open to candidates in the Southeast US. The successful candidate will need to reside in the region they support.

Qualification:

  • You must have 3-5+ years of building automation and controls experience, preferably in a consulting engineering role.

  • You must have knowledge of HVAC, lighting and general building systems – both in design and maintainability.

  • You must have strong design skills within engineering documentation systems and ability to work within a fast moving engineering design team.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably either Mechanical or Controls Engineering

  • PE certification desired, CEM and LEED AP accreditation a plus
