N2 is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Test Engineer (STE) to join our highly experienced interdisciplinary team of test engineers working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The STE will have the responsibility of supporting product development including designing test fixtures, perform validation and verification of tests and products, assist with production line test equipment, and create test procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Production and Engineering to ensure delivery of quality products to our customers.

  • Develop, write and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for product and system verification.

  • Familiar with engineering tools, such as Altium, Cadence, Modelsim, Libero, Quartus, etc.

  • Performance analysis (worst case analysis, simulation and/or breadboard tests)

  • Stress analysis, including working with thermal engineer to package the CCA(s)

  • Perform functional and performance acceptance testing on night vision systems.

  • Perform extreme environmental and reliability testing to military standards.

  • Identify and clearly document issues for resolution.

  • Develop testing automation equipment and methodologies and work with other engineering departments to verify the customers’ requirements are met.

  • Work with the team to execute testing automation projects from conception to completion.

  • Working knowledge of some or all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, and user interface testing.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Ability to work under pressure and with multiple priorities is a must

  • Planning skills and ability to execute plans in dynamic and rapidly changing circumstances

  • Flexibility and willingness to deal with change and complexity is highly required

  • Excellent communication (written/oral), interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Self-motivated and result driven

  • Customer focused and quality oriented

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in IR imaging Cameras, Image intensifiers, night vision devices, electro optical systems, and/or military contract acceptance testing is desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Advanced degree is desirable

  • 12+ years’ experience in testing, automation and/or Q/A
