The Manager, Commodity Management and Sourcing supports the HVAC NA Supply Chain organization with a heavy focus on material cost tracking and reduction. Responsible to manage the Material Productivity process, including monthly submissions and annual planning requirements, and to represent Supply Chain interests throughout the organization. This position interacts regularly with leadership from WHQ Supply Management, Engineering, Finance and Operations functional areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage monthly Material Productivity process (“LE” or Latest Estimate) and annual planning requirements for 10 BU locations

  • Provide visible leadership to ongoing cost reduction activity across sites and engineering support teams

  • Represent HVAC NA Supply Chain interests across various local and executive level reviews

  • Provide standardized and ad-hoc reporting as needed to HVAC NA and WHQ leadership

  • Participate in monthly Product Day meetings with senior leadership, Marketing, and Engineering management

  • Supply Chain voting member for all L3/L4 Passport and QRB programs

  • Collaborate with WHQ Category Managers for monthly guidance, key commodity updates, and other strategic initiatives which require BU support

  • Execute monthly MPR meetings on behalf of Director, Supply Chain and annual Cost Reduction Summit for plan cost reduction commitments

  • Provide leadership and compliance to the Ethics policy both internally and through the external supply base

  • Lead validation of material spend data via annual WHQ Direct Spend Reporting Process

  • Work to ensure team collaboration and drive support from factory resources for alignment to objectives

Qualification:

  • Must be well organized, disciplined and self-motivated with the capability to work independently to accomplish the goals of the Supply Chain / HVAC NA organization

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software – Excel, Power Point, Word

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills, including excellent attention to detail and delivery of quality work

  • Keeps commitments and builds trust

  • Models ethical behavior and encourages ethical business practices

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience

  • Master's degree with 3+ years experience
