The Technical Services Specialist will work as a liaison between UTEC Huntington / Monterrey and OEM Solutions customers. The Technical Services Specialist will work closely with sales, quality and manufacturing to address open customer actions/opportunities. The candidate must have experience in resolving corrective actions and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.

Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)

  • Understanding quality metrics and electronic manufacturing processes

Technical:

  • Chart and graph technical data

  • Complete corrective actions

  • Understand and utilize Statistical Process Control tools

  • Exposure to electronic manufacturing

  • HVAC application exposure

  • Statistics and data analysis experience

  • Electronic troubleshooting

  • DFMEA and PFMEA experience

Qualification:

Customer Focus

  • Meet or exceed customer expectations replying to manufacturing, sales and quality issues/opportunities

  • Participate in driving quality metrics and reporting

  • Listen to, evaluate and respond to customer questions and issues

Financial Management:

  • Identify and propose cost improvement opportunities (product and process)

Quality

  • Follow the established quality and manufacturing procedures and policies

  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives

  • Support engineering in reliability evaluations of components using established procedures (FMEA, Stress Analysis, Failure Rate Analysis)

  • Work with Team Members to reduce PPM levels and to improve supplier quality

  • Complete quality plans and support FMEA development.

Selecting & Managing Talent

  • Provide assistance to other team members as well mentor and assist in the development of Entry Level employees, Co-ops and Technicians

Travel:

  • Moderate customer visits with Account Managers. Occasional Monterrey travel

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
