In this role the candidate will provide daily support & expertise to resolve technical and logistical issues involving the F135 engine operation on wing, on test cell, and in back shop maintenance activities. This position will primarily be supporting flight line operations to ensure no sorties are missed due to engine issues. When issues do arise, trouble shoot and return the engine to service in a timely manner. Utilize P&W tools such as MERLIN & TOD to assist in providing cohesive, accurate, and timely support. Assist P&W Site Manager to ensure all objectives of the F135 Contractor Support Plan are met. Support our customers on all maintenance levels of the F135 engine including: Limited Intermediate, P&W Full Intermediate, On-wing Organizational levels. This position has a high degree of customer interface from senior leadership and pilots to airmen. Continue to support successful maturation and improvement of the F135 support systems such as ALIS. P&W FSE will use self-initiative and judgment utilizing ACE tools to identify problems, conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and coordinate solutions between P&W Customer Support Engineering, Logistics Program Management, the Air National Guard/USAF, and associate contractors such as Lockheed Martin. The ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision. Experience applying strong interpersonal and communication skills with sensitivity to varying cultural norms to lead or facilitate teams to achieve successful results. The person selected for this job will work on 1st Shift. Must be willing to work any shift to support business needs to include participating in a shift rotation. This position is located at Hill AFB, UT.

*Education / Certifications B.A./B.S. in related engineering/technical field or 5 + years related experience

*Experience/Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

3 + years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, project engineering, logistics management, propulsion control systems and troubleshooting, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance

• 2 + years Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Vision

• United States citizen required due to federal contracts

• Must be able to obtain and maintain US DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with F135 engine, its support systems, and use of Technical Order Data (TOD)

• Familiarity with ALIS are a plus

• A working knowledge of Lynx, Shell scripting, VBA and MS ACCESS or a great willingness to learn are highly desirable

• Process or manufacturing engineering experience, or hands-on assembly/disassembly experience on gas-turbine engines and operational experience in a Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul engine facility is a definite plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
