Description:

The Specialist, Change Commnuications will work with guidance from the Associate Director, Enterprise Change Communications, to activate broad-based strategies to support: 1.) the UTC HR function’s transformation; and 2.) UTC enterprise-wide change communications.

S/he has general communications expertise and a willingness to develop specific change managemet skills and expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps in the preparation of a focused, internal communication plan for supporting the UTC HR functional transformation

  • Under the guidance of the Director, executes the plan in partnership with HR leadership

  • Collaborates across the broad Communications function, including the external and social teams, to share content, better schedule campaigns and improve content

  • Creates content for HR communications to targeted employee groups

  • Manages agency resources to produce and deliver content for communications campaigns

  • Interviews employees, conducts research and produces content for the company’s channels

  • Maintains a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the company, and makes appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

  • Supports budget requirements, as needed

Qualification:

Required Qualifications

  • Superior written, oral and visual communications skills in a variety of styles and formats

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios

  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media

  • Self-motivation and an ability to take initiative, but also to be a strong team player

  • Ability to work under timelines and manage multiple high-priority assignments while demonstrating adaptability and professionalism

Education: Experience/Qualifications

  • A BA/BS degree focused in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or management, with a minimum of 4 years related experience -or-

  • A MA/MS focused in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or management, with a minimum of 2 years related experience
